WHO IS NOVA INDUSTRIAL? • NOVA INDUSTRIAL S.A. is a joint stock company set up in 1996 , having 100% Romanian private capital. • NOVA INDUSTRIAL S.A. develops its activity especially for satisfying thepower field's requirementsthrough: • consultancy services; • studies, research-development works, technological engineering works; • creating, producing, delivering and maintaining high technical level products, specific to power system. OVER 180 contracts finalized in National Power System in the last 8 years!

(Romanian Power Grid Company), • S.N. Nuclearelectrica S.A. (National Company for Production of Electrical and Thermal power, and Manufacturing of Nuclear Fuel) and other beneficiaries.

SERVICES • The main areas of activity of NOVA INDUSTRIAL S.A. are: • Consultancy in the field of electrical substations and electrical equipment: analyze of the technical solutions for all fields / activities / areas related to works of exploitation / maintenance / investment done in power stations; • Technical assistance for acquisition and reception of the power equipment from suppliers / manufacturers; • Development of internal technical norms, procedures and operation prescription;

SERVICES • Technical assistance for assembling and putting into operation the power equipment; • Offers evaluation on Client’s behalf; • Technical assistance for procurement and reception of power equipment at /from suppliers; • Technical assistance and / or services for reconditioning / modernization of power equipment from National Power System;

SERVICES • Expertise of the technical state of the primary equipment (power transformers, shunt reactors, switchgears, surge arresters, circuit breakers, insulators, ground grid, etc.), based on specific measurements and tests (on site and in laboratory), and related to the history of the analyzed equipment; • Standard tests (according to standards or Romanian maintenance guidelines / norms) or special tests, in power substations or in the high voltage laboratories for primary equipment (i.e. power transformers, instrument transformers, circuit-breakers, disconnectors, surge arresters, insulators, ground systems, etc.);

SERVICES • Evaluation and interpretation of the analysis, tests and measurements results obtained by Third Parities for primary equipment (power transformers, shunt reactors, switchgears, surge arresters, circuit breakers, etc.) and elaboration of the technical reports of evaluation; • Technical expertise for grounding systems; • Elaboration of the technical documentation and technical assistance for insulation refurbishing works (de-colmation / revitalization / regeneration), for medium / high power transformers and shunt reactors in operation (refurbishing experience : over 100 power transformers and shunt reactors of 110-750 kV rated voltage );

SERVICES • Airborne multi-spectral inspection (UV, IR and video), by giro-stabilized helicopter, of the 110 - 750kV overhead power lines and power stations – partner Flycom Slovenia • Airborne laser scanning and data analysis of middle and high voltage distribution overhead power lines or other targeted systems - partner Flycom Slovenia Our company performed (together with our Slovenian partner) airborne inspections at over 3200km of 220 and 750kV overhead power lines of CNTEE Transelectrica SA!

PRODUCTS • NOVA - PDC apparatus for the diagnose of the insulation condition of the power transformers in operation, using the method of the polarization of the dielectric of the recovery voltage, the polarization and depolarization current - product exported to Finland; • NOVA - ARF installation - test system that uses the frequency response analysis to detect winding deterioration or deformation, resulted from electro-dynamic efforts of the winding of power transformers in operation; • NOVA - IJT installation - test system that uses the low voltage impulses to detect deformation or damage caused by electro-dynamic efforts, to winding of power transformers in operation; • N - SAT apparatus for testing the surge arresters and the surge arresters' counters; • AS - 01 apparatus for testing surge arresters;

PRODUCTS • NOVA TIME TESTING NT3 apparatus – a digital millisecond-meter created to measure the time of operation for the circuit breakers, relays, etc., product exported to Germany; • NOVA-mapparatus - miliohmmeter for measuring the winding resistance of the current or voltage transformers, of the power transformers, of the electrical engines or generators, respectively for measuring the contact electrical resistance of the interrupters/breakers, etc. • Xb and Za additives that increase the quality of mineral insulating oil from the transformer and also improve the winding insulation resistance for the new power transformers or the ones in operation; For example, in the case of TR 30.01 oil, Xb additive generates the reduction of the risk of insulation breakdown (as result of the static loads produced by oil ) and increases the dielectric resistance of the windings by 4-9 times. The Za additive generates an increase in the oil life time by 3-8 times. Both additives do not affect negatively the oil or winding characteristics!

SOFTWARE • NOVA EMCSIT Software System – an integrated complex software system for the on-line monitoring of the high power stations, made of: • NOVA EMCSIT STATION , for centralizing the data; • TRAFOMON 5, for the complex on-line monitoring of the operating parameters and the technical status of the high voltage power transformers in operation and the high voltage shunt reactors; • NOVA EMCSIT – I, for the on-line monitoring of high voltage circuit breakers ; • NOVA EMCSIT – S, for the on-line monitoring of high voltage disconnectors; • NOVA EMCSIT – TC/TT, for the on-line monitoring of high voltage current and/or voltage transformers; • NOVA EMCSIT – D, for the on-line monitoring of high voltage surge arresters ;

SOFTWARE • NOVA INDUSTRIAL SA expert software systemswere developed both for the asset management, from the technical point of view, of the primary high voltage electrical equipment from the power installations, and for maintenance activity: • TRANSPOWER PT- expert system that evaluates the technical condition of the power transformers and the shunt reactors; • TRANSPOWER I- expert system that evaluates the technical condition of the circuit - breakers; • TRANSPOWER S- expert system that evaluates the technical condition of the disconnectors; • TRANSPOWER TC and TT- expert system that evaluates the technical condition of current and voltage transformers; • TRANSPOWER D- expert system that evaluates the technical condition of surge arresters at overpressure;

  22. SOFTWARE TransPower software allows: • building a database (containing the entire range of information required to diagnose the momentary state and to estimate the lifetime already consumed), • registering the individual behavior of each equipment in operation, • optimizing the maintenance activity and the administration of the high voltage equipment park, • establishing the predictive or preventive maintenance program for each high voltage equipment; • establishing the behavior of a family (of a certain type) of high voltage equipment (including accessories), • calculating for each type of prophylactic measurement the so called "normal values" for a homogeneous family of high voltage equipment, • anticipating the volume and cost of the required annual activities as part of the maintenance program;

  23.
