1. Starfish Newsletter Starfish Class - ‘Stars in the making!’ Friday 23rd November 2012 Our learning Literacy Please see the attached sheet for your child’s phonics learning. We have been creating our own stories of the runaway cake and muffin. Maths This week we have been ordering numbers to 10 and beginning to find missing numbers. Theme We have been thinking about weddings. We have been detectives spotting our teachers and members of our class on wedding photos. We have made confetti and tasted wedding cake. Thank you to all those who sent wedding photos in for us to look at. Christingle Thank you to everyone who joined us for our celebration at church and for all those who braved the weather to walk us there and back. Next Week We will be looking at the celebrations of Eid, Diwali and Hanukah as part of our Lets Celebrate theme. If your child has taken part in any of these celebrations please could you send photographs to school for us to share with the class. Thank you. All photographs need to have a name on the back so that we can copy them and return them the same day. Christmas Nativity Play We have had some enquiries regarding the date of the Christmas production. There will be two performances at 2pm and 5:30pm on Monday 17th December. There will only be 2 tickets per family available. You will receive a letter to request tickets next week and to let you know what costumes' you will need. Sharing our learning We would like to share the children's learning this term with you. You are invited to come along on Thursday 6th December at 9:30am to look at your child's learning journal with them. It will also be an opportunity to taste the Christmas cake that the children are making and decorating in the next few weeks. It would be lovely to see you there, unfortunately due to space we can only accommodate 1 adult per child, however we will be repeating this each term.
