  2. How many players in a team? There are eleven players in one football team and each player has a particular role and position such as goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards! Both boys and girls can play football from a young age to being adults.

  3. The art of goalkeeping One of the most important players in the team is the goalkeeper because he can help to stop the opposing team from scoring goals with his defensive qualities. Goalkeepers are usually quite tall and acrobatic. Sometimes the opposing team is awarded a penalty so the goalkeeper has to try to save the ball.

  4. Who is the best player in the world? You’d think that Messi is the world’s best football player, but it isn’t Messi, it’s actually PELE, he scored an amazing 2,578 goals while Messihas only scored 191. Here are some ofthe other top goal scorers: Ronaldo – 200 (wow!) Mario Gomez – 300 (brilliant!) David Beckham – 400 (phenomenal!)

  5. Why do we need REFEREES? It is important that we have someone to control the game and be impartial when the two teams are playing. If the player commits a foul, then the referee may give him a yellow card but if the player makes a bad challenge, then the referee may give him a red card!
