Objective Semi-active control strategy - bounded input and bounded output stability - small energy requirement - not only the reliability of passive control but also the adaptability of fully active control Fuzzy control - ability of producing continuous control signal - possibility of applying non-linear problems - no need handle the tedious mathematical models of the control body

Conclusions The proposed semi-active fuzzy controller using MR damper is quite effective to reduce seismic responses. Only one controller produces directly the desired command voltage to produce the desired force using fuzzy rule inference. • Semi-active fuzzy controller using MR damper
