  2. Phrase • A group of words that is used as a single part of speech and that does not have both a subject or verb.

  3. Prepositional Phrase • A prepositional phrase includes: • preposition, • the object of the preposition, • and any modifiers (words that describe) of that object (adverbs or adjectives)

  6. Prepositional Phrases • A prepositional phrase can be used as an adjective phrase or an adverb phrase. It all depends on what it is being used to modify (describe).
