  4. Characteristics of Inspiration by the HS • Words themselves, not just ideas (Verbal/Plenary) • Exodus 4:10-15 • 1 Cor. 2:12-13 • Immune to bad intentions or influences • Numbers 22-24, esp. 24:13 • Accompanied by proof.

  5. Proofs of Inspiration • Miraculous Signs. Exo. 4:1-9 • 100% accurate predictions. Deut. 18:18-22 • Example: Jeremiah 28 Proofs of lack of Inspiration • Teaching against scripture. Deut. 13:1-5 • Example: Jude 8

  6. 2 Pet. 1:3 • Seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything that pertains to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. Jude 3 • Contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints. The scriptures are sufficient!

  7. 2 Tim. 3:16 All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. The scriptures are sufficient!

  8. The Spirit’s Revelation in Your Salvation: You have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.-1 Pet. 1:23
