  4. Objectives • Create a Better Networking Environment for Local Business • Develop greater access to high speed internet • Create business resource center for the City (both web & brick & mortar)

  5. How we determined our objectives • Brainstorming • Discussions • Sort out what is really an Objective not an action • Is it feasible? • Is it important?

  6. Action Items • Criteria • It can be done • Clear deliverable • Short time frame (less then 2 years) • Cost effective • Important to increase Entrepreneurism!

  7. Create a Better Networking Environment for Local Business • Develop I/E club in Evansville • Increase awareness and access to entrepreneurial resources • Work with school’s business and internship programs

  8. Develop greater access to high speed internet • Research potential new internet capabilities • Collect data on current internet capabilities • Conduct survey to determine demand/satisfaction for high speed internet

  9. Create business resource center for the City (both web & brick & mortar) • Identify candidates for steering committee to oversee establishment of center • Develop a business & marketing plan • Develop a budget & funding sources • Secure support/volunteers • Work with library to develop location • Develop website for business resource enter

  10. Additional Items • Develop a uniform 'one stop' resource portfolio to include video, "How to Guide“ • Create a wiki for the city for business or local group to post information
