  2. Wind Power • Wind Power is using conservation of wind energy into a different, more useful form of energy. • This can be done in many different ways, such as wind turbines, wind mills, wind pumps, wind pumps, or even wind sails for ships. • They can be used for electricity, mechanical power, pumping water, and propelling ships.

  3. Hydrogen Power • Hydrogen puts off power from the creation of the fuel cell. • Hydrogen can be used for filling balloons, production of menthol, and in hydrogenation of fats and oils. • Hydrogen greatly reduces pollution, can be produced locally from many places, and if produced from water we have a sustainable production system.

  4. Wind Power Benefits and Drawbacks • Wind Power cuts down the amount of harmful energy used and replaces it by a source that will always be there. • There is no direct harm to the environment, but in some cases such as wind mills and turbines, it can take up a lot of space. It can also do damage to the lives of the ignoramus of the bird family.

  5. Hydrogen Drawbacks • Hydrogen is extremely flammable and has already shown to be a deadly tool in the catastrophe of the Hindenburg catching fire.

  6. Government Plans for Wind Power • The main reason Wind Power isn’t our main energy source is because it is only dawning on the government that wind power is a promising new energy source. • Wind Power could provide as much energy as nuclear power does (nuclear power provides 20% of America’s total electricity) if only we had turbines installed on less than 1% of America’s land area. • The government is already planning on putting many wind turbines in key areas in the country that would be out of the way. • Already in southwest California there are hill sides covered with wind turbines.

  7. Government Plans for Hydrogen • The U.S. Government has cut funding to hydrogen and fuel cell programs. • Right now hydrogen is a big risk and not one many wish to take. Maybe in the future this will change but for now Hydrogen is no where close to being the top source of energy.

  8. Wind and Hydrogen Outputs • Wind energy doesn’t put anything out after being used. • Hydrogen puts out water and electricity.
