  2. DOSAR ‘05

  3. Current Hardware • 168GB Backplane Gigabit Switches • Gigabit fiber connection to campus backbone • 10GB Ethernet Capability • Campus Backbone 10G Fiber Upgrade Possible • 24 2.2Ghz Dual AMD Opteron Servers • Equivalent to 3.4Ghz Intel Xeons • 8 TB Storage Server • 3 1.4Ghz Dual AMD Opteron Servers • Job Delegation • Administrative Servers DOSAR ‘05

  4. Current Status • Running Scientific Linux 4.1 x86_64 • Monitoring • Ganglia, Monalisa Running • VDT 1.3.6 Installed • /opt/vdt as per OSG standards • Still need to tailor UPS/UPD to point to this install • Condor needs configuring • Working on getting a grid certificates for Sam station setup DOSAR ‘05

  5. Backend • Currently the nodes are in standby until I get one node configured properly • Once one node is configured it will be used as a template to image the other nodes • Standard tools ‘dd’ piped through tftp will be used for imaging. Imaging takes approximately 20 min. • All nodes can be imagine simultaneously • Small issues such as host names / ip’s will be adjusted once imaged. • Authentication has been setup using LDAPS/Kerberos • NFS is running on the storage server • AFS cell is being created DOSAR ‘05

  6. To Do • Finish getting the Sam certificates straightened out • Get VDT tailored to the /opt/vdt directory • Configure Condor • Work on OSG/Voms once operational DOSAR ‘05
