Comparison of Methods to Remove ECG Baseline Wander using a Rest Cycle Template

This study compares different methods for removing baseline wander (BW) from ECG signals recorded by a 24-bit ADC. The methods evaluated include high-pass filtering, spline interpolation, and using an ECG rest cycle template. Results show that using the ECG rest cycle template provides significant attenuation of BW while preserving low-frequency information in the signal. The study was conducted on a healthy male subject, showcasing the effectiveness of the new method in denoising ECG signals during physical activity.
