  5. Public Stream Category • Low to moderate wild trout biomass • Moderate Size (13–66 feet wide) • Greater than 50% Public ownership • Good to Excellent Access • One angler trip/trout stocked

  6. Stocking Rates for Streams • Public Streams - 400/acre • Private Streams Urban - 350/acre Suburban - 235/acre Rural - 125/acre • Small Rivers - 100/acre • Large Rivers - 75/acre

  7. Criteria for Lakes • Lake Size • Human Population Density • Area around lake • Drainage Basin

  8. Very Small Lakes • Less than 20 acres • Primarily Public Owned • Rural – Urban Areas • One Angler Trip/Trout Stocked

  9. Stocking Rates for Lakes Class 1 - 600 /acre Class 2 - 325 /acre Class 3 - 150 /acre Class 4 - 75 /acre Class 5 - 5–10 /acre
