  4. History • Founded in 1830 • Co-Educational • Children of the factoryworkers • 1853 for boys only • 1863 became a parish school

  5. History • In 1911 there were 5 schools in Kärdla • In 1911 girls and boys schools changed into Kärdla Parish school • 1916 Kärdla State school was formed • In 1930 old schoolhouse • 1975 new schoolhouse

  6. Students’ Hostel • For students outside Kärdla • Founded in 2003 • 2-4 students per room • Meals 3 times a day • WIFI, TV, Computer and pooltable • Shared Kitchen • 4 Bathrooms with WC • 2 separated WC

  7. Schoolday • Schoolday starts at 8.00 • Lessons 45 minutes • Break 10 minutes • 11.30-12.30 Lunch Break • Schoolday ends at 15.00

  8. Students’ Council • Started in autumn 2003 • Organizes Parties and Events • PlayBox • Winter Prince and Princess • Fashion Show etc.
