  3. Survey Results • Students do not perceive GSU as a green campus (68% 138/209) • Students do not perceive GSU Housing to be “green” (78% 164/209) • Ways to promote sustainability efforts • Do it! • Promote it! • Follow through with suggestions!

  4. Survey Results • Students will use information from Go Green Week (61% 84/139) • University Housing should create a Go Green/Sustainability Committee (72.5% 100/138) • Students are motivated to support sustainability efforts – we need to follow through

University Housing Student Learning Outcomes [SLO]Institutional Effectiveness Plans [IEP] Activity Implement the 4R Initiative (reduce, reuse, recycle, renew) in University Housing SLODemonstrate accountability for one’s decisions and actions Measurement: behavior and participation in recycling and reduction activities (e.g. eco competition, donation drives, etc.) Criteria: 50% increase in student engagement IEPProvide resources for students to participate in recycling and energy reduction activities Measurement: number and use of recycling receptacle and recycling bags; number of opportunities for students to become involved in the 4-R Initiative Criteria: 100% of the residence halls will have recycling receptacles in common areas; each student room/apartments receive a recycling bag; At least four 4-R activities offered and 200+ students participating in activities during the 2012-2013 academic year
