  1. Download and install add-in • Download and install office windows components from the following link • Click Here

  2. Close and reopen Internet Explorer Go to tools – internet options Under security tab Click Trusted sites (green check mark) and then click on sites Change Security Settings

  3. Change Security Settings • In the top part type in: • http://www.rpi.edu • Uncheck the button at bottom that states “require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone • Click add • close

  4. Change Security Settings • Click on the Custom Custom Level Button

  5. Change Security Settings • Approximately 1/3 down under ActiveX Controls • Change Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting to Enable

  6. Change Security Settings • Approximately Halfway down under Miscellaneous • Change access sources across domains to Prompt • Then click ok

  7. Change Security Settings • After clicking OK in the custom security settings, click on “OK” • Close and reopen the browser
