  6. Here is how to use it! What is the distance this cruise ship will travel in one hour at a speed of 30 knots per hour? For distance cover D D Multiply Speed by time. 30 knots X 1hour =30 nautical miles It’s asking about DISTANCE so cover it up and do the math! T S X

  7. My math problem • Ms.Choy is going to a party. She lives 50 miles away. If she drives 5 miles per hour, how long will it take Ms.Choy to get to the party.

  8. Answer • It will take Ms.Choy 10 hours to get to the party because 50 miles divided by 5 miles =10 hours.
