  3. What is a “Citizen”? Def: Citizen Senior Citizen • One who receives the rights and privileges as a member of a particular city, state or country. • What country are you a citizen of?

  4. What are “Rights”? • Rights: That which is due to you, legally and morally, as a citizen of a particular country. • What rights do you receive as a citizen of your country?

  5. What are “Responsibilities”? • Responsibilities: the duty and obligation as a member of a society.

  6. Rights and Responsibilities • Summary: Rights are what you receive from society, and responsibilities are what you give back to society. It is a balancing act.

  7. “Juicy” “Fat” Questions -What responsibility do all the people in this boat have? -What happens when some don’t live up to their responsibilities?
