  1. Explaining the effects on the human body Microgravity

  2. Microgravity • The condition of microgravity comes about whenever an object is in free fall. • That is, it falls faster and faster, accelerating with exactly the acceleration due to gravity (1g). As soon as you drop something it is in a state of free fall.

  3. Creating Microgravity Conditions • NASA uses a variety of facilities to create microgravity conditions. The most famous way is by aircraft flying in parabolic arcs to create microgravity for tests and simulations that last 20-25 seconds. NASA's Johnson Space Center, for example, operates a C-9 Low-G Flight Research aircraft also known as the "Vomit Comet."

  4. To condition the body to work in microgravity conditions…….

  5. How does space travel effect the human body?

  6. How does space travel effect the human body? • Fluid congestion causes head congestion and puffy face

  7. How does space travel effect the human body? • Fluid redistribution shrinks legs • Astronauts must exercise several hours each day to counteract this effect.

  8. Space travel effects:Muscle atrophy

  9. Space Travel Effects: Osteoporosis

  10. Space travel effects: Changed sensory input, occasional disorientation
