  1. How to Prevent Bad Breath at School

  2. Prevent Bad Breath • Going to school presents a lot of challenges especially if you are a teenager where you are in the age of dating and becoming more mature. • You are more conscious of the way you look, smell and act. Sometimes you do not realize it but the way your breath smells is not the way you wanted it to be. • You may have bad breath which may cause you to become shy and not confident in the way you interact with other people.

  3. Here are Some Tips to Prevent Bad Breath at School:

  4. Brush Your Teeth Before Going to School • Sometimes as a student, you hurry too much to go to your school in the morning that you forget to simply brush your teeth. • It is important to form a habit of brushing your teeth before going to school. • You can also bring a toothbrush and your toothpaste to school just in case you need to keep your breath fresh and clean.

  5. Eat More Fruits and Vegetables • When your parents tell you to eat fruits and vegetables, it is not only healthy, it is also good for your breath. • Eating apples, carrots, celery etc., can help remove food caught between your teeth because of its hard texture and it can also help remove any bacteria that sits on them. • Not only will it help you clean your teeth, but it can also keep your body healthy because it is loaded with vitamins and minerals

  6. Avoid Sodas and Drink More Water • Sodas are preserved with citric acid, which not only contributes to bad breath but also can damage the enamel on your teeth. • Instead of drinking sodas, simply drink clean water. Water is critical in lubricating your mouth and in keeping your body function normally. • It also helps keep bacteria at bay and keeps you hydrated.

  7. Bring a Mouthwash and Sugar-free Mints • For those moments when you need a boost of confidence, it is advisable to bring a mouthwash and some sugar-free mints to school. • A mouthwash especially after brushing your teeth can give you a cooler and fresher breath. • Sugar-free mints are handy when you have just eaten and need that boost when talking to someone you like.

  8. Visit Your Dentist • Most schools have a resident dentist on hand, it would be good to visit the school dentist from time to time to have her check on the health of your teeth. • Your dentist can also give you some advice to prevent bad breath and help you keep your mouth fresh and clean. • Do not be afraid to ask questions to your dentist because their job is to help you keep your oral health in good shape.
