Update on WESTAR Planning Committee Spring Business Meeting 2010 in Denver, CO

The WESTAR Planning Committee convened in Denver, CO, in Spring 2010 to address air quality issues impacting western states. Led by Co-Chairs Diane Arnst (AZ) and Curt Taipale (CO), the committee aims to ensure western concerns are included in national debates on air quality. Key activities include monthly calls discussing priority issues such as ozone standards, pollutant transport, and regional haze plans. They focus on tracking air quality impacts, particularly from oil and gas operations in rural areas, and engaging relevant stakeholders, including federal representatives.
