  3. Which Font Size Should You Use? (36) This is 28-point font size. It is suitable for headings or sub-headings. This 18-point font size is suitable for the main text, but is the lower limit in size that can be easily read. This is 12-point font size. It will be nearly impossible for most of your audience to read. Bolding helps to make it legible.

  4. An example of too much text on a single slide Excimer laser irradiation is used to crystallize hydrogenated amorphous silicon films (nominally 100 nm thick) on Corning 1737 glass substrates. The resulting films show a stratified microstructure with a high crystalline volume fraction as established by Raman spectroscopy. There is a range of excimer laser energy flux that can produce stratified nanocrystalline silicon with an optical Tauc gap as high as 2.2 eV. This value is greater than that of amorphous or crystalline silicon and is contrary to reported theoretical analysis on mixed phase silicon thin films. The phenomenon is explained by employing structural characterisation techniques. Excimer lasers have been utilised for crystallization of hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) for applications such as thin film transistors and photovoltaics.1-2 The technology is well established for thin film transistor formation in commercial applications. Excimer lasers typically operate in the UV, where the energy is highly coupled to a-Si:H and nanocrystalline silicon (nc-Si:H), due to their high absorption coefficients in the UV. Energy is absorbed by the material within a few nanometres of the surface, melting and solidifying it on nanosecond time scales, without harming the underlying substrate. This technique enables the use of inexpensive substrates, such as glass, which are highly preferable for low-cost, large-area devices.
