  1. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD There are Five types of Leaven mentioned in the New Testament Leaven of Herod Leaven of the Pharisees Leaven of the Sadducees Leaven of Galatia Leaven of Corinth

  2. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD Leaven Naturally What is leaven? Leaven or yeast is a little bit of sour dough, and when placed in a batch of dough has the action of fermentation. Leaven puffs up. It works silently, secretly and gradually, until the whole is leavened. All the dough is affected by its mysterious operation and fermentation. It causes the dough to rise. Its influence permeates the whole until all is leavened, until all becomes like itself. The Hebrew word used for leavening in Scripture is Chametz. It literally means 'sour'. It is that essence by which things decay. It is a fermentation process - a process of death.

  3. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD Leaven Spiritually The word leaven occurs ninety-eight times in the Bible— seventy-five times in the Old Testament and about twenty-three times in the New Testament—and it is always used in a bad sense except once in Matthew 13:33. In every other instance that leaven is used in scripture it is used to symbolize evil, either in doctrine or practice. Leaven typifies sin, human weakness, infirmities, false doctrine, and corrupt practices. The Hebrew word used for leavening in Scripture is Chametz. It literally means 'sour'. It is that essence by which things decay. It is a fermentation process - a process of death.

  4. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD There are Five types of Leaven mentioned in the New Testament The Leaven of the Herodians is the Love of the world(King Herod Loved the World) 1Jn 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. Mark 8:15 And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod. King Herod was an Unscrupulous, crafty, immoral, cruel, lustful, decietful, cunning and murderous man.

  5. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD The Leaven we want to look at is the Leaven of the Pharisees. Mark 8:15 And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod. Luke 12:1 ……Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

  6. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD The Leaven of the Sadducees is agnosticism. When your Dead your Dead! Tongues are not for today! There is no afterlife! Matthew 16:6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. The sadducees did not believe in the supernatural, no angels, no miracles, no resurrection , nor did they believe in spirits. They were the agnostics of their day.

  7. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD The Leaven of the Galicia is Legalism Gal 5:4 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. Gal 5:5 But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope. Gal 5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. Gal 5:7 You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth? Gal 5:8 That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. Gal 5:9 A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.

  8. Circumcision was the “sign” of the Covenant in the Old Testament Gen 17:10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. Gen 17:11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant between me and you. אות The Hebrew word for token is “oth” it means Probably from H225 (in the sense of appearing); a signal (literally or figuratively), as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence, etc.: - mark, miracle, (en-) sign, token.

  9. In the Hebrew pictorial language this word “Oth” is spelled and means אות The Leader Nailed The sign Tav Vav Aleph Col 2:11 In Him also you were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but in a [spiritual] circumcision [performed by] Christ by stripping off the body of the flesh (the whole corrupt, carnal nature with its passions and lusts). Col 2:12 [Thus you were circumcised when] you were buried with Him in [your] baptism, in which you were also raised with Him [to a new life] through [your] faith in the working of God [as displayed] when He raised Him up from the dead.

  10. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD The Law, Ceremonial, Moral ,Civil, and Dietary The Torah is the first five books of the Bible 1 Genesis 3 Leviticus 5 Deuteronomy 2 Exodus 4 Numbers

  11. The Ceremonial Law Behavior during Ceremonies Worship Rules Ordination Tithing Sabbath Observance Holy Days Feasts of the Lord Ordinances

  12. Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. The Moral Law

  13. The Civil Law Responsibility for damaging your neighbors field Marriage Care of the needy How to handle murder How to handle accidents How to handle theft Owners responsibility for animals How to handle rape

  14. The Dietary Law

  15. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD The Law, Ceremonial ,Moral ,Civil, and Dietary I’m in trouble! If you break one command in the law you are guilty of breaking all the law And the penalty is death! Jas 2:10 For whosoever keeps the Law [as a] whole but stumbles and offends in one [single instance] has become guilty of [breaking] all of it.

  16. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD What Person in the Bible broke all ten commandments at the same time? Rahab? Aaron? Abraham? Jacob & Esau? Noah? Joseph’s Brothers? Samson?

  17. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD Moses Did! Exo 32:19 And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and broke them beneath the mount.

  18. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ The Law came by Moses Joh 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Gal 2:16 know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.

  19. Joh 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. • Joh 8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, • Joh 8:4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. • Joh 8:5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? • Joh 8:6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, asthough he heardthemnot. • They were right! the law demanded it!

  20. Joh 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Joh 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sinamongyou, lethimfirstcastastoneather. Joh 8:8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. Joh 8:9 And they which heard it, being convicted by theirown conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. Joh 8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, wherearethosethineaccusers?hathno mancondemnedthee? Joh 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, NeitherdoIcondemnthee: (This is Grace) go,andsinno more. (This is truth,)

  21. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD The law is a “Schoolmaster” to lead us to Christ. Gal 3:24 So that the Law served [to us Jews] as our trainer [our guardian, our guide to Christ, to lead us] until Christ [came], that we might be justified (declared righteous, put in right standing with God) by and through faith. Gal 4:4 But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, Gal 4:5 to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.

  22. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD The Hebrew Word for Law is Torah Reysh Tav Hey Vav Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

  23. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD Latin-IesvsNazarenvsRex Iudaeorvm Jewish-YeshuaHanatzriVemelechHayhoodem INIR YHVH Col 2:14 Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against us (hostile to us). This [note with its regulations, decrees, and demands] He set aside and cleared completely out of our way by nailing it to [His] cross.

  24. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD You must be circumcised to be saved You still must follow the law to be saved But I love Jesus! Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

  25. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD Saul You must follow the Law of Moses! Paul I’m crucified with Christ Gal 1:13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: Gal 1:14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. Gal 1:22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judea which were in Christ: Gal 1:23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed. Gal 1:24 And they glorified God in me.

  26. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD Saul You must follow the Law of Moses! Paul I’m crucified with Christ Gal 2:1 Fourteen years later I went up again to Jerusalem, this time with Barnabas. I took Titus along also. Gal 2:2 I went in response to a revelation and set before them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. But I did this privately to those who seemed to be leaders, for fear that I was running or had run my race in vain. Gal 2:3 Yet not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, even though he was a Greek. Gal 2:4 This matter arose because some false brothers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves. Gal 2:5 We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.

  27. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD God will Judge you if your not circumcised! You cannot be saved unless you are circumcised! Gal 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? Gal 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Gal 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Gal 3:4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. Gal 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Gal 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Gal 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

  28. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD God will Judge you if your not circumcised! You cannot be saved unless you are circumcised! Php 3:2 Watch out for those dogs, those men who do evil, those mutilators of the flesh. Php 3:3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh-- Php 3:4 though I myself have reasons for such confidence. If anyone else thinks he has reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: Php 3:5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; Php 3:6 as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for legalistic righteousness, faultless. Php 3:7 But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. Php 3:8 What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ Php 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ-- the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.

  29. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD The Heart of Legalism is trying to be justified in the flesh by the works of the law instead of by Faith in Christ Rules without relationship leads to rebellion

  30. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD The Heart of Legalism is trying to be justified in the flesh by works instead of by Faith in Christ I’ve been to 10 houses Now God will really be pleased with me Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

  31. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD Our works should be done because of our faith in Christ! Praise God the Lord told me to pray for every house on the block! Jas 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.

  32. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD A little bit of law mixed with faith is still legalism You can be saved if you work for it! A pinch of Legalism Faith Gal 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

  33. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD A little bit of law mixed with faith is still legalism But I believe in Jesus! God will accept you if you cut your hair ! Gal 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. 1Co 11:14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, Rom 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

  34. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD A little bit of law mixed with faith is still legalism But I believe in Jesus! If you wear makeup you’re a Jezebel and your not saved! Gal 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. 1Pe 3:3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. 1Pe 3:4 Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.

  35. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD A little bit of law mixed with faith is still legalism But I believe in Jesus! You have tattoos your not saved! Gal 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. Lev 19:28 'Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.

  36. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD A little bit of law mixed with faith is still legalism Now there’s a Christian on his way to Glory I cut my hair and put on a suit will Jesus accept me now? Gal 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

  37. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD We are saved by Grace through Faith in Christ Jesus Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: itis the gift of God: Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. The law demands a blessing be earned while grace is a gift You earned every bit of your Blessing Saved by Grace Man God

  38. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD The grace of god is what brought us into the kingdom, the grace of God is what keeps us in the kingdom and the grace of God will take us to Glory. Jesus said….. I’m not struggling to hold on I’m just abiding! It is the lord who chose you for salvation Joh 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

  39. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD It is the Lord who keeps us in salvation Joh 10:27Mysheephearmyvoice,and Iknowthem, andtheyfollowme: Joh 10:28And Igiveuntothemeternallife;andtheyshallneverperish, neithershallanymanpluckthemout ofmyhand. Joh 10:28 (amp) And I give them eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages. [To all eternity they shall never by any means be destroyed.] And no one is able to snatch them out of My hand. Joh 10:29 My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all [else]; and no one is able to snatch [them] out of the Father's hand.

  40. FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD It is the Lord who will take us to Glory Psa 73:24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Php 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: 3 principles of Gods grace are • Jesus laid down his life for me...so • Jesus could give his life to me...so • Jesus could live his life through me
