  9. Activities to Date – Miami Dade Public schools November 19, 2007 – Miami Central Senior High School IT Women Event – 200 students November 30, 2007 – John A. Ferguson Senior High SchoolGirls Get IT – In House Luncheon with Role Models Impact: 27 females who attended have signed up for Web Design, CCNA (3) and Digital Design December 18, 2007 - Felix Varela Senior High School Girls Get IT - In House Luncheon with Roles Models February 20, 2008 - Mast AcademyEngineering SymposiumApril 25 2008 – Competition Event Summer 2008 – Robotics Symposium Youth Competition winners IMPACT?? % of females

  13. Current Metrics & Measures of Success • Grants Submitted (CY07 submitted 4 – NSF, Space Florida, FSU, FLDOE) • Grants Received – Leah.. Please fill in.. $$$ amount??? • Newspaper Coverage – Miami Herald, Tallahassee Democrat – this one did.. • Invitations to speak, write articles, present at state functions • New Franchises in Key Media Markets – 2 this year, 1 pending (Miami-Dade, Tampa, Brevard pending) • New Partners (business & community based organizations) • New Events – 4 by End of FY08 How did this impact the Academy Program? If not, we will delete

  14. Branding Produce a cool branded campaign to get girls’ attention, drive them to the Web site, get them hooked. Partner with school guidance counselors to promote the Web site and special GGIT initiatives through posters, brochures, other collateral. Won 3 ADDY Awards in March 08 for promo materials.
