The Wellington Medical Students' Rural Interest Club aims to engage students in practical rural and wilderness medicine experiences. Initiatives include a rural week, staff-student debates, visits from the Mobile Surgical Bus, a Wilderness/G.P. weekend, and a Wairarapa road trip. Our goal is to connect medical students with rural healthcare environments and provide valuable learning opportunities supported by various stakeholders, including the University of Otago, local GPs, and rescue organizations.
