  3. What are the condition for seeds to germinate? Each year million of seeds are dispersed from their parents but only a few of them will germinate immediately .

  4. Why is it important for seed to germinate? Germination is the growth of an embryonic plant contained within seed; it results in the formation of the seedling. The seed of a vascular plant is a small package produced in a fruit or cone after union of the male and the female sex cell.
