LUSITANIA • May 7, 1915; British Liner, Lusitania was sunk off the coast of Ireland • Video • Americans turned against Central Powers • Another Liner (Arabic) was sunk (August, 1915) • Germany promised not to sink anymore ships • March, 1916 another passenger ship (French) (Sussex) was sunk • US threatened to break off all diplomatic relations with Germany
