Default Shape • Background • STEP data is becoming more complex • More Application Protocols being used • More complex data sets being exchanged • Issues • Files with multiple alternative shapes • Files defined by AP’s not directly supported by the reading system • Files containing a lot of information where some of the data is of special importance to the sender • Suggestion to CAX/IF • Consider methods to allow the sender of STEP data to tag the important/preferred/default shapes
