This journal exercise invites participants to reflect on the factors contributing to poverty and wealth in society. By completing quotes on the reasons behind poverty and wealth, and exploring the government's role in addressing these issues, participants will gain insight into the American class system and the cultural values shaping it. The exercise also encourages critical thinking about the differences in societal perceptions of welfare versus financial bailouts, enhancing our understanding of social stratification.
