Randi DixonDAC Chair 2013-14 District Accountability Committee Meeting Norms 2012-2013 • SUGGESTED MEETING NORMS: • Respect our Time: Begin and end at the set advertised times. • Stay Focused: Do our best to proceed through the agreed-upon agenda at each meeting. • Assume the Best: Demonstrate a positive regard for the work and intentions of our colleagues and our community. • Criticize Constructively: Disagree respectfully. • Share the Floor: Make certain that everyone has an equal opportunity to express ideas. • Plan and Evaluate: At the end of each meeting, briefly review items not covered and action items raised during the meeting. This brief discussion can form the basis for the work in the ensuing month, and the agenda for the next meeting. Then, briefly evaluate that evening’s meeting.
