Get ready for your final exams with these crucial tips! Note the updated exam schedule: 81008 on Dec. 13 from 10-11:50 AM, 81012 on Dec. 15 from 11-12:50 PM, and 81014 on Dec. 13 from 12-1:50 PM. Your final will assess your reading and analytical skills based on the semester's major concepts, including logos, ethos, pathos, and fallacies. Skills that will be tested: • Your ability to read an article and analyze it in writing, looking for: • Logos (rhetorical devices & evidence) • Ethos, pathos • Logical fallacies • Author’s purpose
How to prepare: • Look over your notes on the rhetorical analysis process • Look over your rhetorical analysis essay and the graded comments, especially • Look over your notes on argumentative strategies and fallacies • Look over the handout “How to Write Well.”
What to bring: • Your rhetorical analysis process chart • Your SF Writer • Your completed portfolio for Part 1, with the Reflective Response essay placed in the front • A blue book (can be purchased at any college bookstore)
