The Enlightenment

This exposition explores the political system of the United States as a federal republic established by the Constitution. It emphasizes how the power fundamentally resides with the people, aligning with Enlightenment principles such as popular sovereignty, the division of government into three branches, and the implementation of checks and balances. Additionally, the U.S. government serves as a pull factor, attracting individuals from autocratic or communist countries by offering job selection, business ownership, representative elections, freedom of speech, fair trials, and the pursuit of the "American Dream."
