  5. Recipient of Springarm medal for distinguished service to science

  6. Honorary membership American inventors society

  7. Developed 300 products with peanuts including peanut butter

  8. In 1927 invented a process for producing paints from soybeans

  9. Developed 115 products from sweet potatoes including flower, starch, and synthetic rubber; in which the military used in World War I

  10. In 1940 donated his life savings in the George Washington Carver foundation

  11. 1990 Included in National inventor Hall of Fame
