But designing a brochure that your receiver will keep for future reference is no easy feat. Effective brochure design is important in developing one with accessible product and service information. The more helpful your brochure is, the longer its life with your receiver and the higher the possibility it could be passed on to other would-be clients. Brochure design is not entirely limited to the images or layout that you want to use, it is totally different from creative flyer design. Apart from this, it is a mixture of components working together in accordance that makes your brochure effective. Components such as the font you utilize, the content, and even the kind of paper on which you print your brochure should be given careful consideration during the planning stage. Here are 7 tips that you need to consider for effective brochure design. Determine your purpose Identifying your brochure's objective will influence the design of your brochures. Things like your target market and brochure distribution strategy can put your design in the right direction. Know your brochure folds Brochure folds control how your product and service information is presented to your recipient. Complement the fold with the type of content that you will include and how your intended recipient read it. If you are doing brochure design online, then thoroughly check the brochure folds. Review your copy review your copy with respect to your reader, As a general rule, concise writing is a must for brochure marketing. You have to give valuable information in a short amount of time. Choose your fonts The copy for the brochure is usually outlined with a heading, a subheading, and the body of the text itself. Limit your font choices to no more than just three, one for each. Know your paper stock and coating Your choice of paper stock and coating can negatively influence their perception of your company. Use high-resolution photos If you are going to use stock photos, select ones that do not look like stock photos. If you are going to use product images, make sure that they are arranged in a visually appealing way. Include a call-to-action Make your call-to-action statement immediately visible to your recipient. Use a bigger font or larger white space around it to make it stand out. Be specific for the call to action button or photo which should reflect the purpose and motive of the brochure.
