  2. The Story behind the Origin of Ties The use of ties to identify different groups and organisations started a very long time ago. These days it is just easier to identify an organisation according to their ties because of custom tie services. www.jamesmortonties.co.uk

  3. The Story behind the Origin of Ties 1900-1909 Ties were still known as cravats, but men started to develop a method of tying them. Very much later in the future, it became known as the Four-in-Hand knot.

  4. The Story behind the Origin of Ties 1910-1919 Ascots rose in men’s fashion as a more functional and comfortable neckwear compared to cravats.

  5. The Story behind the Origin of Ties 1920-1929 Jessie Langsdorf, a New York tie maker, discovered a new method of cutting the tie fabric that resembled the modern ties we have today a little more.
