  3. The Story behind the Origin of Ties 1900-1909 Ties were still known as cravats, but men started to develop a method of tying them. Very much later in the future, it became known as the Four-in-Hand knot.

  5. The Story behind the Origin of Ties 1920-1929 Jessie Langsdorf, a New York tie maker, discovered a new method of cutting the tie fabric that resembled the modern ties we have today a little more.
