  3. The Challenge • You have chosen to take the path less traveled… • Never lose sight of the why! STAY MOTIVATED! • Your freshman year will challenge you mentally, physically, and emotionally • If you complete this challenge, you will the greatest Air Force the world has ever known

  4. Expectations • Be receptive of constructive criticism/feedback • Give 100% at ALL times • Hydrate, eat healthy, and strive to increase your physical fitness • Be respectful to: • Cadre • Upperclassmen Cadets • Fellow Cadets

Dress & Appearance Standards Jewelry • Rings: • No more than three at any given time, must be conservative in nature • Earrings: • Males: Cannot wear earing while in uniform • Females: Must be white pearl, gold, silver, or diamond, and spherical studs. Only one earing per earlobe. • Bracelets/Watches: • No more than one watch and bracelet at any given time, must be conservative • Bracelets must be less than ½” in width

Jewelry • Necklaces: • Permitted, but must be worn inside the shirt and not visible through the uniform Grooming Standards • Males: • Hair must have tapered appearance on both sides and back • Hair cannot touch the ears • Length shall not exceed 1 ¼ inches in length • No facial hair should be present, sideburns should not be lower than the earlobe (special circumstances may exist)

Grooming Standards • Females: • Hair must be clean and neatly arranged • Hair cannot touch the eyebrows • It will not be worn in any style which falls below the bottom edge of the collar while in uniform (including straggling or “wispy” strands of hair), exceed 3 inches in bulk, or prevent the proper wear of headgear. • Decorative hair ornaments such as ribbons may not be worn. Pins, combs, or barrettes, similar in color to the individual's hair, may be worn to keep hair in place, unless participating in an activity where such pins are unsafe. • Ponytails are authorized only at commander’s discretion and the provisions of the above paragraph. • Cosmetics will be conservative and in good taste. One nail polish color may be worn, provided the nails are well-groomed and the color is conservative. No ornamentation will be worn on the nails.

Interim Cadet Uniform Wear When to Wear the Uniform • Every Tuesday & Thursday from 0800 – 1700 (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) • To any official AFROTC function • To any Aerospace Studies class • When instructed When not to Wear the Uniform (IRT AFROTC issued uniform) • Any time not instructed • Any job interviews • Be smart about uniform wear, allow ask if unsure

Interim Cadet Uniform Wear Interim Cadet: • A first year cadet who has not taken & passed the AFROTC Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) Interim Cadet Uniform: (Business Attire) • Top: dark blue polo or button up • Bottoms: black slacks • Shoes: conservative black dress shoes • Belt: conservative dark blue or black

Interim Cadet Uniform Wear Interim Cadet Uniform: (Physical Training Uniform (PTU)) • Top: plain black shirt with sleeves, any material • Bottoms: black or dark blue shorts, conservative length and style • Shoes: recommend quality running shoes • Jackets/Sweats: may be worn, must be conservative in style • Socks: must be plain white, small logos okay
