  4. St. Michael´s Chapel •It was built on former cemetery •It used to be chapel(till 2006) •Also built around 14th century

St. Urban's Tower ◆It's not only interesting cause of its history,there used to be a wax museum of historical personalities of Košice. ◇They started to build the tower around 14th century ◆A church bell installed in tower has been dedicated to St.Urban, patron of vine-dressers. It's weight is 7ton.

St. Elizabeth Cathedral ▪ It was built for empress Elizabeth,she later became Saint. ▪This beautiful piece of architecture was built around 13th century,but it was later reconstructed many times till 20th century. ▪It's located right in the centre of Košice,also the biggest temple in Slovakia. ▪There are plenty of legends about the church like: Hollow Stone,Gorgoyle of Drunk Woman,Lanthern of King Matthias... ▪It has gothic theme.

State Theatre ▪This theatre is truly Košice's pride. ▪It's built in classic style of Štefan Brocky and Jozef Ján Taller. ▪Used to be a town hall, opened as theatre in 1816. ▪It has: - hand-made oil paintings on the ceiling -huge stage just right for big shows -gold lining and decorations & also -big hall & a lot of seats ▪Located in the heart of Košice.

  8. K O Š I C E Basic Information ◆Košice is the biggest city in eastern Slovakia and in 2013 was the European Capital of Culture. And in 2016 it was European City of Sport. 》With a population of approximately 240,000, Košice is the second largest city in Slovakia after the capital Bratislava. ◆The city is well known as the first settlement in Europe to be granted its own coat-of-arms.
