Problems and Need Problems That there is large section amongst the Muslims saddened by the utter disregard of Islamic principles in marriages. Nearly 33.70 lakhs Muslim women – 12.87% of 2.1 crore Muslim women aged 20-39 – were unmarried in 2011. (As per Indian Express) There are number of divorce cases which are not getting suitable match to remarriage and the result is horrible figure. According to the survey, 20.36% of Muslim women living in rural areas of south India have not been able to get married for some reason or the other. (Milli Gazette) Some time the rituals and cost during a marriage leads people to unmarried life. The social caste system also a barrier in Muslim society for late marriage. Majority of family are nuclear family in Metro cities, due to this they are not getting proper time for communicate with each other and they are not getting opportunity Marriages become difficult for those youth who are willing to marry but yet their parents refuse to step out of the traditional trends. Often, the result is an aging unmarried young adult who is afraid to confront their parents fearing that they might not accept their choice of spouse because it does not conform to the culture-based criteria of their parents.
