ECG Electrocardiogram or ECG is a test for the heart. 12 leads are applied over different parts of the body and a standard 12 lead ECG is taken. At our centre we have 3 ECG machines. ELECTROCARDIOGRAM is a test to detect the electrical activity of the heart .Abnormalities in heart function leads to abnormalities in ECG .This helps to detect silent heart attacks, ongoing ischemia, cardiac rhythm abnormalities .This test can rule out with almost 90% certainty of a normal cardiac status. Disease Fragment leads to abnormal cholesterol and increased formation of plaques in heart arteries leading to heart attacks • 12 lead GE MEDICAL SYSTEMS MAC 1200ST machine. • And 2 maestros 12 lead ECG machines.
Pathology Test • Blood sugar test can be done at home. This is called SMBG (self monitoring of blood glucose). For all diabetics it is a good habit to check blood sugar at home 23 times a week or more frequently depending upon the control of blood sugar. Poorly controlled diabetics should check sugars more frequently Lab testing. Once a month or once in 2 months patient should check blood sugar in a reliable pathology laboratory Glycosylated HB (HBA1C) testing shows the mean blood sugar over a 3 month period.
