Organisational for the Hauptseminar (I) • Area: Informatik Hauptstudium, Master (SWS: 2+0, ECTS: 4) • What is a Hauptseminar • Abitur/Facharbeit: Solve a given problem with given resources • Proseminar: Train giving a talk on a scientific topic • Hauptseminar: Solve a given Problem! No resources, but presentation

  7. Organisational for the Hauptseminar (II) • How to get the Schein • Discuss outline of talk and report with the supervisor at least one month before the presentation • Finalize and discuss presentation slides and handout with the supervisor one week before the presentation (template) • Give talk of about an hour and handle follow up discussion • Write a report of approximately 15 pages (LaTex-template) • Be present at all talks
