  1. Employment Ontario Transformation Update Kevin French, ADM Employment and Training Division November 27, 2008 Employment and Training Division Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities

  2. EO Transformation Update October marked the launch of the first phase of Employment Service (ES) implementation. This phase is a part of the larger Employment Ontario (EO) Transformation, which is being enhanced to be more: • Customer-centric; • Reponsive; and • Flexible to community needs. The transformation of EO will create a comprehensive and integrated service delivery network, driven by the needs of job seekers, employers, and communities.

  3. ES Capacity Survey OEAS and JC agreement holders have received, completed and returned capacity surveys, giving them the opportunity to provide us with information about their capacity to deliver ES in their communities, current performance and any additional resources and strengths that they might bring to Employment Ontario’s network. Service providers selected to deliver services under the new ES model will participate in Employment Ontario’s network that will be: • Better for customers; • Better supports for service providers.

  4. ES Capacity Survey Those not affected by this phase of the transformation: • Literacy and Basic Skills; • Summer Jobs Service; • The Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program; • Practice firms; • Self-Employment Benefit Delivery Agents; and • Apprenticeship organizations. The Ministry will continue to keep these groups informed on future developments.

  5. EOIS Contract Management System The EOIS Contract Management System (EOIS CMS) successfully went live on October 20, 2008. On Friday, October 31, 2008, MTCU signed a contract with Cúram Software Incorporated to acquire software licenses and support for the new EOIS Case Management System (EOIS CaMS). Ministry staff are currently putting together the project development and implementation plan for the EOIS Case Management System. This will enable the Ministry to transition off of federal systems by June 2010, as well as have the ability to collect and report on data related to Employment Services performance.

  6. EOIS – Gathering Sessions During the Fall 2008-Spring 2009, the EOIS Project will be conducting Information Gathering Sessions with our service delivery network as well as MTCU staff. These sessions will focus on providing MTCU with information on client service interactions and processes, as well as system reporting and database inquiry needs.
