Grasslands • The biome that the Burrowing Owl lives in is the Grassland. • The precipitation is very erotic enough to support grasses and only some trees. • Temperature wise the tall grass is very humid and very wet for short grass it is dry and has hotter summers. • Dominant vegetation: Flowers, Grasses, and herbs.

  3. Distribution and Range This image just displays where Burrowing Owls are on an average for year round conditions.

  4. Population The population of the Burrowing Owl has been steadily declining since the 1930’s. I was unable to find an exact or estimated amount of how many there are but it is known that they are endangered . This is due to deforestation and habitat lose which is caused most by human beings out of all organisms.

  6. Biotic and Abiotic factors • Some abiotic factors are Sun, soil, temperature, and water. • Some basic biotic factors would be insects, herbivores, humans.

Adaptations Adaptations that the burrowing owl would be • It’s small hard to find and easy to hide from predators. • The color blends into the rocks of their homes. • They have specific calls for warnings example is a sound of like chuckling is to warn others nearby of approaching predators that may cause a threat. They also bobble their head up and down for another warning.
