  2. setting A small town in Norway in 1940 where the Nazis invaded during World War 2

  4. plot In 1940 during the German invasion in Norway, the Norwegians did not want the Nazis to take the gold they had in their bank. The children in the town secretly took the bricks of gold down to the harbor on their sleds past the Nazis. The kids would sled to the bottom of the hill and build a snowmen over the bricks, then at night the Norwegian men would take the bricks and store it cave. Eventually they wanted to get the bricks to the main character Peter’s uncle’s boat. They wanted to get it safely to America.

  5. My opinion I really liked this book. I would recommend it to anyone that likes adventure. I learned a lot about World War 2. I thought it was interesting that the Nazis landed in Norway by parachutes. This story was based on true events and I thought that the kids in the story were very brave for sledding so close to the Nazi soldiers.
