Righteousness. 义. What will you do if you see your good friend stealing book in a book shop?. Pretend that you never see it and continue to read your book because he/she is your good friend. Go and tell the person that he/she should not do this, or else you will report to the shopkeeper.

  2. What will you do if you see your good friend stealing book in a book shop? • Pretend that you never see it and continue to read your book because he/she is your good friend. • Go and tell the person that he/she should not do this, or else you will report to the shopkeeper.

  3. Task1: What is righteousness? • What do you think righteousness is ? • What is the most righteous thing you have done during past years?

  4. What is righteousness? Observable Action • able to distinguish right from wrong • take responsible action • not afraid to point out wrong/immoral action • do not take things that do not belong to oneself • adhering to moral principles • uprightness • demonstrates accepted standards of morality (have moral action) • have moral courage

  6. Task 2: Example of righteousness & Unrighteousness • From the video, who do you think is righteous and who is not righteous? • What will you do if you are the onlookers?

  7. Task 3: group discussion(10 minutes) • In group of 5/6, discuss about the case given and answer the questions: If you are the problem maker(only for the hit and run)/onlooker, 1) What would you do in a righteous way? 2) Why will you do like this?

World cafe • Paste the A4 paper on the wall. • Let’s play the “world café” game! • Now the presenters of each group(café) will remain in your own groups(cafés) to present your discussion results to the other groups. And the other group members have to move to another groups (cafés) clockwise to pay them a visit(listen to their presentation). After 1 minutes, all groups have to move again. Every group will move for 3 times. • Any problem???
