The Computers for Learning program, initiated by Executive Order 12999 in 1996, aims to ensure that American children acquire essential skills for success in the 21st century. This federal initiative facilitates the transfer of surplus educational technology from government agencies to schools and nonprofit organizations. Eligible entities can register to receive computers and related equipment at no cost, aside from minor shipping fees. By promoting access to technology, we empower students and enhance educational opportunities across the nation.
