  2. Why Is Christ Incomparable? Colossians 1:13-14 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. • He Provides redemption

Redemption…… Lit. a releasing for ransom, deliverance Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.  Acts 20:28 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 Sanctified, justified, reconciled

  9. Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.

  11. Why Is Jesus The Head of the Body? • He is the beginning (originating cause) • He is the firstborn from the dead • He is God’s agent of reconciliation Who else could be the head?

Colossians 1:21-23 And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, 22 he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.
