Cover Letter Why am I writing this? • Address the letter to a specific person • Highlight why you are interested in the position Why are you reading this? • Highlight your past accomplishments • Include two or three points from your resume that align with the responsibilities of the position Now what? • Express your willingness to provide more information if desired • Provide contact information • Include a follow up date • Thank the individual for his/her time and consideration
