  8. EU Baltic Sea Strategy The coordinate the efforts of various actors in the Region by working together so that a more balanced development of the Region would be promoted. Four main objectives: • to improve the environmental state of the Baltic Sea Region and especially of the Sea; • to support balanced economic development across the Region; • to make Region a more accessible and attractive place; • to make the Baltic Sea Region a safer and more secure place.
