  4. Getting the Right People Staffing is all about hiring the right people with the right skills at the right time. What are the biggest challenges in this? Discuss this with your neighbor And identify at least 3 things.

  6. Getting the Right People Hiring mistakes create a huge financial burden Recruitment process: Define the job, Seek a pool of qualified individuals, Select the best, Orient the individual. Activity: Complete online self-assessment

  7. Policies and Documents What types of policies and documents does your organization have for getting the right people?

  8. Standard 2.1 An approved job description is completed for all positions. At a minimum job descriptions should be reviewed annually.

  15. Conduct the Interview • Provide instructions and explain the process • Rate candidate’s responses • Give candidate opportunity to ask questions • Close the interview by explaining next steps and thanking candidate • Ensure discussion and note taking complies with Human Rights Legislation

  17. Standard 2.4 All individuals external to the organization who are offered a position sign a letter of employment that outlines the working relationship between the individual and the organization. Resources: sample letter of offer, sample employment agreement
