  2. Where is Russia? • Russia is a country in Asia but a small part of it is in Europe • Russia on a map looks like this: • Russia`s most famous cities are both in Europe although most is in Asia

Interesting facts about Russia • Russia is the worlds biggest country • It is known for the large land, the cold weather and for the amazing sports which happen there • In St Petersburg there are 221 museums, 2,000 libraries, more than 80 theatres, 100 concert organizations, 45 galleries, 62 cinemas and 80 club establishments of culture

Languages and cultures in Russia • Russia is a country which has a wide range of religions • There are many different religions in Russia although the main ones are – Christianity, Buddhism, Islam and Judaism • There are over a hundred languages spoken in different parts of Russia but the language spoken in Russian schools is Russian • Russia is a country which has a wide range of religions

  5. Transport The main types of transport in Russia are the following: • Trains • Road traveling • Aeroplanes • Sledging as it’s a cold country walking is not very popular

  7. Russian food • People in Russia often eat a lot of meat and veggies, fried potatoes with onions are a hit, soups are also eaten • Russian food is often served with different types of wines such as vodka or sometimes with beer • Dishes in Russia often look like this:

Russia's population • Although Russia is the biggest country in the world, it has a smaller population to other counties • This is because in some parts of russia, it is too cold to live in the people there have moved to other areas of the world • The place with the biggest population is Moscow; also the capital of Russia
