Takachiho Nearby Takachiho, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan is the Takachiho Gorge, a natural setting that combines four elements of nature to complete an idyllic setting: a river in turquoise crystal clear waters, cliffs of basalt prisms, a waterfall that falls from a cliff and lush vegetation. The result is an amazing place.

  3. Going through the Takachiho Gorge in a rowboat is nothing short of an idyllic trip. The waterfall, which drops from a height of 17 meters, is the background sound of a tour that stretches for 600 meters, and in Spring and early Summer is decorated with flowers of varied colours, plus red and yellow hued falling leaves in Autumn.

  4. Of course, the beauty of the gorge is one of the main reasons that Takachiho receives visitors during the whole year.
