  4. Method • Adult cats • Recording site: • Layer 3 to 6 of somatosensory cortex(S1) (glass micropipette) • L6 dorsal horn surface of lumbo-sacral spinal segment (silver ball electrode)

  5. Stimulating site: • Electrical: Sural(SU) and superficial peroneus(SP) • Mechanical: hindpaw

  6. Result • High positive correlation between amplitude fluctuations of spontaneous negative CDPs and fluctuations of the cortical evoked potential
